Thread: HELP Thinking of ordering this for front unit?

HB 597 ci HD Combo Sonar/GPS.......I am lost when it comes to electronics! Is this a good unit to purchase for trolling up front? Any advice would be great as I am mentally challenged when it comes to this stuff! I am going to be spider rigging and longlining up front if that helps and need to know my speed and channel edges and such! I will be puchasing SI later for console and considering the 798c HD SI for that unit? Thanks

I dont have one yet, but I will. I have been doing alot of research in the last month and that unit is the one I will have for my bow. I was going to get the 798 for the console but I think I am going to go with the 898 instead. ALot of folks here say go big if you can. The 898 list for 1500 from hummingbird but others are getting them around 1300 around the internet. So that is only about 300 more than the 798 so I think I am going to splurgh and get the little bigger screen. Good luck in whatever you do. I cant wait the DI and SI look great. I dont think I have ever wanted the ice to go away so soon this year.
