Ok to do the update it says to backup your waypoints to sd card, I have looked and

read on the hb site and I dont see how to do that, I went in under waypoints and click save but they didnt transfer over to my sd card, I dont have it connected to the boat a power source connected in the house here. Im sure its something I am overlooking or at least that is what I figure

You need to get to the Main Menu, then go to the "Navigation" Tab, in that tab you'll see a selection called "Export All Nav Data".

Be sure and "Restore Factory Defaults" before AND after any software version update....

There have been several instances of units locking up during the update process and this seems to help prevent update lockups.....
