Default Looking for a new fishfinder

I currently have a Garmin 498c that came on the boat. The GPS works good, but I don't have the data card to save waypoints. Also, the sonar is that great. I seen the Eagle 480 at BPS. The prices are nice, but I was really wanting color. I want to grab a graph for the console and the bow. With that price, I could grab two and still have the $ left over to put on a trolling motor too. Should I jump on this deal or save for color? Please HELP!!!!!

Or should I move the 498 to the Bow and splurge on the console graph.

Not sure I understand what you mean about not having a data card to save waypoints on your 498c. You don't need a data card to save waypoints, they'll save in the memory of the unit. A data card is just for mapping. I've had my 498c about 4 years now.

Thanks for that insight. Maybe I just have not messed with it enough. How do you like the sonar feature on it?
