    Default Equipment cutting out?

My lowrance will loose power when I crank the motor and I noticed today when I installed my new VHF that when I key the mic it will loose power as well and restart.
    Any thoughts?

Sounds like the battery does not have enough power for all your toys

Maybe not. I went to the battery and found that the positive terminal had some corrosion under the conections. I cleaned them and hooked everything back up. I keyed the mic. several times and never could get it to loose power again.
I hope I have fixed the problem. What do you think....could this have been the problem?

That has the same effect as a weak battery. But, that being said, when my HB788 is turned on on the bow and I crank the big motor, the 788 goes off and stays off until I press the power button again, and I have a brand new cranking battery that stays charged.

Depending on your outboard, your battery could still be weak, even in perfect condition. Or you could have excessive loss in your wiring. Are you straight to the battery?
