    Default HDS8 and NMEA2000 is A+

I recently added the NMEA 2000 buss to my HDS8 and added the LCG4000 external antenna. Haven't had a chance to test it out good yet though, but it works good in the house.

I am gonna order this cable and start using the INFO page on my HDS8. Yamaha had the NMEA interface connector on the engine block, so I just gotta get the cable and run it.

I do like this feature and you can display your engine info on the Lowrance info page on the HDS....

Waiting for warmer weather. Just ordering stuff to do.......

If your motor is like my HPDI the nmea connector is well hidden. I believe you will have to buy a separate WP sensor to see that. There are 2 pink (I think) wires inside cowling you will have to connect to see trim, but the trim gauge is pretty much useless.

This is all new to me. Problem I have is when I call for info, no one knows what all I need. I know the sensors are "pricy".
