    Just ordered this unit , thinking about upgrade the transducer to the XHS-9-HDSI-180-t from the XNT-9-SI-180-T, Have heard that this is worth the extra $$$$ anyone done this , can you tell any differenance ?????

    If you want somewhat sharper images with the 798, you can use the HDSI transducer with it. Even though you cannot use the 800 khz of that transducer, the longer crystals in the HDSI transducer produce a thinner beam which gives a sharper image in the 455 khz SI frequency. May be...

    I know of several people that upgraded to the XTM-9-HDSI--180-T and in all cases much MUCH clearer & better sideimage picts-go for it............
    I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.....
