    Default OK Dumb Question about IPilot


    I'm looking at the Minn Kota 55 PowerDrive V2 with foot pedal. My question is if I get this can I add the Ipilot and keep the foot pedal.
    Why I ask is, I can get the above trolling motor and buy the IPilot cheaper than the same motor with Ipilot and no foot pedal.

    You can add the i-pilot but the foot pedal won't work then.

    Ok so if I have the foot pedal and the IPilot goes out, can I remove IPilot and use pedal pretty quick?

    I believe the Terrova will but the V-2 won't.

    Not really. You have to change some wiring, mostly spade connectors, but there are 2 wires with crimp and heat shink. If you have the parts you removed to install the I-Pilot with you, it would probably take you about 30 minutes. Not an on water job, but easily accomplished back at home or camp.

    shellback is correct,only easy way with ipilot is canepoles way
