Since you are left handed, I assume you skull with your right hand and fish left (just opposite of me as a righty). I'm also assuming you'd sit on the front on the starboard side of the front and fish to the port as I would do just the opposite. That's the rub and I agree with Feelay in that a quick release would probably be your best bet and mount it right center and have the head stow somewhere in the vicinity of your throttle. That way, fishing left would not be an issue for you and when you wanted to skull, you could pop and stow the TM with only the bottom part of the mount remaining, which you could throw a cusion over to make comfortable enough to sit on.
