I lowered my boat in the water today and took a few snapshots. The wind was gusting to 30 mph and we had a constant 15-20 mph breeze. I left the boat on the lift, lowered the boat' then dropped the TM for to set my screen setup for a snapshot.

My setup is: Minnkota V2 I pilot with US2. The trolling motor also has the LSS1 transducer mounted to it. I turned all electronics and pumps on and observed the 2d screen. I got a lotta stuff on my boat and all was on and running. Screen was pretty clean as seen in the snapshot.

These are my initial settings. I don't use the HDS 2d much.

I verified that the US2 shield is tied to the motor housing and that the shield is not tied to the ground signal wire in the US2 cable. They are isolated.

I am not sure if the shield and US2 ground lead (black) get tied together via the HDS8 or not. The wind was too strong to meter the connector properly.

I have a seperate battery for my HDS8, however it's ground is tied to TM ground and also start motor ground. I had to tie all together to rid the noise. Every step helps.

First shot. Water is about 4 feet deep at the front of my dock.

These are my present settings.

I turned the surface filter off. A little messy. Not bad considering the water depth.
