    Default aerator problem

I have a Tracker Panfish 17. The aerator pump will not fill the livewell without backing up. I have checked the livewell connections ( and some were not as tight as they could be.) I thought the pump should run clockwise, but the manufacturer said it should run counterclockwise. I will change this .Anyone have any other suggestions. How about increasing from a 500 to a 800 gph aerator and making sure all connections are tight. Thanks for any help.

You're getting a vapor lock. Not sure how to overcome it, but mine does it sometimes too.

Make sure the output of the pump is pointing up as much as possible.

My friend has the identical problem, and has been complaining about it to Bass Pro where he purchased the boat, for eight months. They finally agreed to send the boat back to the manufacturer. I know this doesn't help you much, but at least you are not alone. In his case, even if he does back up and gets it to work, it doesn't last and his live well goes dry again. I guess there is something wrong in the design that does not allow the pump to retain its prime. Would appreciate a PM if you find a solution.

When you say output you mean going to livewell? I just replaced my pump and it is running straight up. The pump is mounted on the top of the valve and the valve is a little lower than the intake, lake water. I will have to wait and see
