    Default Settings

Here are my settings and some more information I found on the SwitchFire modes.

    My HB 777c2 Settings

Quick Menu or the first menu:

Sensitivity = 10 (so far this has been the best for me)
Chart Speed = 5 (I change this with the speed of the boat if trolling)

    Sonar Menu:

    Beam Select = 220kHz
    Surface Clutter = 5
Switch Fire = Clear Mode (I have played with this some, I think there’s a rule of thumb this is for shallow water, I maybe wrong, I fish 25 ft or less most of the time )
    Fish ID = Off
    RTS Window = Narrow
    Bottom View = Structure ID
    Zoom Width = Wide
    83kHz Sensitivity = 0
    Noise Filter = High 3

    Humminbird - Support

Viewing a thread - Ready aim Switchfire from Humminbird

Hope this helps. If ya'll find out I'm doing this wrong let me know. Like I said I just play with it till I get it like I like it, don't know for sure it's right or wrong :D

Well, I tried Alan's settings first and they were not a lot different from my settings..I am running the 200/83 transducer setting and his is 200...I saw about the same that I have been seeing so I started changing....

Sensitivity 2-18 in 1 step at a time settings...

Switchfire from clear to max to off....

From auto to manual depth settings....I was in 30' at the deepest so I went to 30' max until I got in 15 fow and would change..I continued to change Sensitivity settings as I changed depth.....

Fish ID( which is a ridiculous & false reading) to manual (arches)..Haven't seen an arch yet from 0mph-4mph... With all those fish showing on FishID you would think I would see one...:D:D:D:D

It is showing brush that is really not there most of the time...At times when we would see a big brush pile & would cast out to see if it was there...It wasn't.

I have fooled with this unit for at least 6 months...I am really disgusted and have no confidence in it..

I am not entirely new to HB or Lowrance as I have had many with no problem setting them up..

That's not good you got me thinking mine ain't working right I have seen a few arches but I'm now thinking they may have not been true as with your brush piles
But I'm sure mine show brush piles good, I lose enough hooks and jigs in them :D
You going make me go spent some money another unit :p

Alan, the only thing I did not do was to change my transducer setting to 200..I will try this next but I really don't think it will make that much difference..We will see..I did catch 10 fish but found them with a jig on the end of 4# test Gamma line, not a DF...
