    Default Lowrance track(trail) points??

Seems to me there is a lot of restriction on the number of track points one can use when uploading tracks into the Lowrance HDS. I loaded a track (which has track points about 20 feet apart which I generated) and only a small portion of the track appears. No info in the manual about this function.

The track file seems to be limited to 2k in size.

If you are on Facebook it seems to me you can get an answer quicker here than on Lowrance's website.

This question stumped the experts too.:p There is a 2k file size limit for some reason.

I sit in front of my PC to make tracks. It is the more logical place to do it.

I make tracks plots in advance to go "scout". Lots easier to go look at a specific are by planning ahead.

This method works fine with Garmin and Humminbird units.

I can make and install a track on the HDS. I just have to limit the track points, which, makes for a less accurate trail to follow.

I done this plenty of times. I preplan a track, then drive the track and record it on the Ipilot. Several members here have seen me do this. Takes the guess work out of where I want to record a Ipilot track.

Sorry for bringing an older topic to top...what map images do you use with Oziexplorer? Are there maps with bottom contours and other lake features? I've used ozi with DRG topo maps I downloaded from USGS website for hiking but have not seen good lake maps for it.
