    Default Hds8

I sure do like this down image overlay feature. I can pick the fish out of the brush.

Wish Lowrance would have a buy one git one free sale.

I am laid up for a while, but Iz got my HB and HDS to keep me occupied. Sounds like I am strung out on drugs (HB and HDS).:p

What is the differeance between the hds 7 and the hds 8 ? Just wondered because I have heard some folks say that they like the 7 better.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Besides screen size, the 8 has shortcut buttons which I like. You don't have to fumble thru a menu screen to adjust stuff. It also is capable of 4 viewing windows. The 7 only has 3 viewing windows.

I got mine hooked up on my desk learning the buttons. That's is always the big hurdle. Rest is cockpit time pushing the buttons.

I am anxious to give the 8 a tryout.

billbob will be down next month. He presently has 8,7, and 997.

cane pole is right. The 8 makes life so much easier and faster with the buttons. Everything you need to push is right there in front of you. None of the menu menu down down over to the right, push push push stuff. Push the button once and your done

been a long time since I looked at the specs on these, but doesn't the 8 have two slots for the little memory chips whereas the 7 has only 1?

    What does the LSS-1 do?

    Photo Details

Does one need to purchase more than one transducer for the HDS 8 or is there an all in one for it?
