    Default Switchfire

    Hey everyone,
I have a 777c2 and have an available upgrade to include the new switchfire technology. I have read about it on humminbird site but was wondering from you guys that have it or use it does it make enough difference to upgrade my unit or keep on truckin with unit as is?

I've found the Switchfire to be too much in water less than 10 ft....too much clutter on the screen...

Deeper water in Max mode is OK for showing weaker returns but I have to turn the sensitivity way back ...brush piles show up amazing in Max mode in more than 10 ft of water...

    Just remember...

Max mode is all sonar returns...more returns but more clutter
Clear mode is filtered....less returns with less clutter...

We suggest in 15 feet and shallower run the Switch Fire in Clear Mode and 15 feet and deeper set it in Max Mode.
