    Default depth finder

the depth finder on my boat keeps freezing up when i am under way at any speed. when under way may work for a short while than freeze back up. i have a lowrance 125x. seems to be getting worse. the one on the trolling motor works ok. hope someone can help with this as not fun running not knowing the depth.

also if i need a new depth finder where can i purchase one?

    thank you for your help.

did you some how knock your transducer out of the horizontal position??
Check to see that is is locked in the correct position and not "looking back"
Had this happen several times and did not notice until I trailered the boat.

Also, make sure you have a well charged battery. They do all kinds of weird things when voltage gets low. Might be battery connection too. Clean the contacts as best you can. Then, ever so gently, just slightly, nice and easy, bend on of the contact probes outward, forcing it to make better contact with the female recepticle.

maby a broken or loose wire and the torque from running puts it in a bind and causes the problem
