:D:D:D That statement is pretty funny!

If I'm not mistaken, that foot pedal is a wireless remote as well and not a manual control. It's just another remote you work with your foot.

Minn. and Motorguide both developed their wireless units to get away from the foot pedal that everyone (almost) hates! I don't see the common sense in buying a unit that will run itself and then duct taping a foot pedal to it... why not spend a lot less money for a foot control manual TM???

Kind of like my youngest brother (another electronics genius) bought a canoe and tried to make a sailboat out of it... what does a sailboat have that a canoe doesn't?... a keel! Sailboats don't work too well without a keel! I told him to put outriggers on it and it would help, that made him mad because he didn't think of it and he threw the sail away.:p

I don't have I-Pilot, but I do have Co-Pilot and still have my foot control on it because it's nice to have the ability to bump the trolling motor while both hands are busy. I can see where it'd be good to have a foot control if the remote goes bad.

You're getting on GCD, but it looks like you shouldn't have posted either. This is what you said yesterday. I have no doubt that Tom is smart, but it's optional for you, me, and everone else I guess.

Hey guys, look it is just a fellow fisherman that had and idea to make his trolling motor better for him and he made it happen. He is not forcing anyone to do the same nor have I saw anywhere that he has offered to sell the units. as I said before that I would love to have one for myself. I really dont think there is a need to talk down to anyone that has a idea to make something he has work better for him. I am glad to see people are willing to spend their own time and money to bring something like this to eye of his fellow fishermen. A great example is the fluid bed, I was looking at them on ebay and saw where someone had an auction for the plans to build these, well all I did was ask on here about building one and had a couple of different members offer to email me plans free of charge. That is what I love about this board, someone is always willing to help on most of everything I have asked. Whether you use this, like this or dislike this, CP had put time into it and it worked for him so he is happy and I am happy for CP and thank him for doing this

I hope your Minn. isn't still under warranty, an add-on like this will certainly void it if it is... but then again, there's this.

nowhere did i say i was smart because i`m not

Not necessarily true, but apparently you know more about electronics than everyone in the business.

The circuit is transparent to the Ipilot. No wiring changes. You sure don't have a clue here.

Go build a sand box and play with things you understand.
