    Default Ethernet cable bad

I figure it may be a freak thing, but I have an ethernet cable that I purchased in March go bad. It is the cable that carries the LSS-1 side/bottom scan signal to my front Lowrance hds unit. Anybody else ever have one of these to go bad before? The cable came from BPS, but I dont know who makes it or even if I could get another one later for a spare in warranty, as I already ordered a replacement already. Those cables aint cheap. 38 bucks

I'd like to see one of those cables. If they use standard RJ-45 type connectors on the ends I might be able to make one. And yes they can go bad but its not very common.

I had one of mine go out on me also. A few months ago went to the local river and it wasn't working. I swapped units around, swapped the plugg-in points on the box and figured it out to be the cable. Move the cable around under dash and it would turn and off the structure scan screen. Called lowrance and sent the old one in and got a replacement. These cables are made by Lowrance.

call lowrance CS dept and have them replace your erther net cord. Must likely you will have to send in the bad one. they should warranty it.

    GoneCrappieFishing,
Any luck on the replacement Ethernet cable? On a scale of 1-10 (10 is best) how was the experience with the customer service?
