    Default Garmin etrex hc


    Bass Pro Shops has them on sale for $119.94 Will this unit be suitable for measureing trolling speed and setting waypoint on lakes ? I know O about GPS units and need something very easy to use !!

    should work, I have a couple garmin hand helds one being a e-trex and it works fine for what you said you wanted,

    They work fine for that.

    I use the etrex venture hc. and plan on installing another 12v outlet on the bow and getting the 12v adaptor cord for it.

    Quackrstackr, Is there a seperate screen for the trolling speed IE .5 ,1.2 or is it shown at the bottom or side ??

    it is on a seperate screen from the waypoints.

    I use a Garmin etrex. I'm not sure of the model number its an older cheaper model but it works fine for trolling and locating spots.
