    Question Cutting a MG shaft


    A friend in Texas was asking for the steps to cut a MG shaft..He needs to cut it off 9"...If anyone has a step by step procedure I will email it to him...

    I don't really understand why anyone would want to cut their TM shaft, the depth is adjustable at the base clamp and they offer different shaft lengths when you buy them.

    I had to cut the shaft on my MK. The shaft was too long and covered up the lid to the rod locker when the TM was stored in the cradle.

    He says the motor head unit sticks up too high above the deck..He has an old Ouachita boat that rides low in the water.. Not a new motor...I sent him one of my old ones.... Would you agree that was a nice thing to do?:D

    I have a few Symetres.:o..Only high rollers have Stradics & Stellas:rolleyes:
