All I can say is that I made the mistake of buying the 797. The reason
it was a mistake is I was sorry I didn't go bigger. I now have the 1197.
From what I've hear from everybody is that Humminbird Support is ten fold
better than Lowrance. I have played with both and to me HB is better..
and been at SI longer. But to each his own.


Here are a few programs that are all free. I use the SI view the most.
All easy to learn.


SI View - Displays recordings makes waypoints.

Humminbird PC - Manages waypoints and tracks and display on google earth

Son2xtf - converts recordings so programs can read, takes 2 seconds

Deepview - Makes waypoints and movies and screen shots.
