Thread: Garmin GPSmap 76 Cx ??

I have a Garmin GPSmap 76Cx GPS that will discharge the batteries even though I don't have the unit powered up. It works find when I have good batteries, but after I cut it off in about 10 hours the batteries are dead. Anyone got any ideas?? thanks in advance

Are you sure you're powering it off, or is it going to "sleep"? I think my 76CSX will go to a blank screen if left sitting, but will continue to calculate postion while it "sleeps".

To Power off my csx, you have to hit the power button and hold it down for a few seconds.

May not be the case for you then again, I maybe not remembering correctly either.
