Default Need help with rigging Tracker 175

I just got mine and I'm trying to rig a ff on the console and one on the bow. Got the console mounting figured out but the bow mount doesn't look as obvious. Can anyone post pictures of how to "open" up the front of this boat for rigging? Thanks very much for any help.

Maj, don't know if your tracker is constructed the same as mine but I had to remove the panel that had the trolling motor receptical in it. I can take a picture when I get home and post it to show what I am talking about.

That opened up access to the deck and the front point and they already had two wires pulled to the front of the boat from the fuse panel. It took a while to isolate which fuse went to the wires, but found it and mounted my bird 788ci on the bow.

Thanks whiskers, 788 is what's going on mine too. What wires did you tap into?

I saw your thread on the Mississippi board where you are rigging your boat and yours is a little different than mine. My boat already had two wires run from the fuse box to the bow that were not terminated anywhere. I metered them and they had power, so after locating the fuse they were on I connected the FF to them and everything works fine. I was lucky on that part.

I had the same issue, when you mount it on the floor it is tuff to read that far down. I rigged it with a ram mount to get it off the floor and to make it moveable. If you want to buy mine I just got a new boat with high gunwales and won't be using it. How does $30 sound?

Here is a link to what I have!

What everyone said, you just have to look for the screws in the carpet.. they are on top of the bow plate and screw down into the front deck..( mat least my did).. if you have the cup holders on each side you might have to remove them also. After removing them I liked the space I gained so I never put them back in..I mounted mt FF on the panel that comes out.. that makes it higher than being on the floor and a little more out of the way.

I was wondering about those cup/stuff holders. They do take up a lot of room.

Use a V-Lock so you have when you need it but not when you don't.
