    Finally bit the bullet and bought the 998c si today. Managed to get it for $1720 out the door including shipping. Anyone found it any cheaper? Please say no!

    Also, is anyone aware of sample recordings on the net to play with till I get it on the water?

    Me too. J and H. I had a quote for $1720 including shipping from another company (Cascade GPS) and J and H matched it. J and H had originally quoted $1727 + $12 shipping.
