    Default I-Pilot battery

Has anyone had to changed their battery in the I-pilot yet. If so how did the remote acted when the battery got low or went out. On the average how much time getting on a battery before quitting.

I've been running an i-Pilot since last August, fishing and guiding 2-3 times per week since then, and have used the i-Pilot on 80% of my trips. I'm still on the original battery.

I must be the exception. I've only had mine about two months and had to replace the battery already. I pull jigs a lot and have spent several days running the TM all day long. The screen display would show whenever I depressed a button but then would quickly fade out. The trolling motor then would simply not respond. Was concerned at first that I had some other kind of issue going on. It was near the end of our fishing day so I just hoped the battery was going out.

I was stupid enough to post the question on here about what size battery was needed since I couldn't find the information anywhere in the book. Didn't realize it's on the back of remote in small print. I picked up three spares at Batteries Plus, changed out the battery and was back in business.
