    Default 997 GPS antenna question

not sure if my antenna went out or what but when I power up my 997 I don;t get any maps. Also I have snapshot turned on and when I try and take a snapshot, it tells my must have GPS to store waypoint or something like that. It DOES store the pics though. I've taken the unit off and with a airhose, blown out the connectors and reseated them. Still nothing. Now I haven't taken all the wires aloose from the bracket and tried it all by itself though. Gonna try that this evening. If this doesn't work is there any way to tell if the antenna went out?

    DonDon,
If you can; try testing your 997 unit on another boat that has a GPS Humminbird unit. That will tell us if the problem is with the unit or the GPS Receiver.

How do you have the GPS Receiver connected to the 997 unit? Plugged straight into the unit or through some other cable or InterLink?

Did you mount the antenna upside down too?
