    Default Catfish Heaven


    This is a spot we've fished for years for catfish...

    We always thought it could be an old "Shotgun" Style house because of it's proximity to the flooded town of "Old Birmingham" on Ky Lake...\

    Turns out it ain't no house.....

    Sorry for the crooked edges...it was pretty windy when I was capturing these images....and the boat has to stay on a straight line to make straight edges look straight....

    Looks like an old barge. I can see the cleats on the corners.

    Yes it's an old sunken barge....

    I marked all 4 corners of it with marker buoys...then proceeded to scan each side of it....

    I don't know how big barges are in real life but I know this thing is about 60 ft wide X 100 ft long....and it rests in 30 ft of water 200 yds from the river channel.....

    do you fellas figure the white flecks are fish that are on top of the barge??? Look like they are monsters if so.

    This structure holds fish year round so I do believe that the white flecks are fish...not really sure if they are catfish..but definately fish.....
