    Default Donut Math

    Little simple math here..................

Speed 1mph =14.6 feet per second
speed .65mph= 9.5 feet per second

Accuracy of HB gps 3 meters this near 9 feet

If you move more than 9 feet per second (.65mph), the gps shows you moving and no donut.

Pings from heaven come every second, so the gps receives signals and calculates to see if you moved out of the 9 foot area. This happens every second.

GPS says: Did I move, if so, how far from last position (9 foot). Over and over and over.

Of course it is more complicated than this, but this is the rough basics of the math.

    I kinda simplified it somewhat.

Not to change subject but I got new puter with windows seven, they no longer use the little hour glass symbol for when puter thinking/looking to open program. Yes you guessed it, they use one of Cane Poles famous Doughnut's spinning around & around. :D

    Which one Frank?

You right frank. I am a decimal point off typing. Geez..........

    5280 divided by 3600 = 1.47 feet per second and .65mph = .95 feet per second.

This is where the accuracy comes in.

I calculated this before.:o It posted somewhere on here. This is on Garmin web page somewhere....The state you have to go 1.5 mile per hour for reliable readings on gps.

    Thanks for pointing this out..

Anyhow, I believe all get the jest of the math.
