    Default Terrova Question

When I get to speed 3 and 4 on the unit, the unit starts vibrating. It doesn't do it on any other speed, just 3 and 4. Any suggestions?

I have it connected to the slide mount so I can take the trolling motor on and off the boat. Do I need to add rubber to the bottom of the slide plate that is mounted to the pontoon deck? It has carpet underneath it now.

I put the rubber spacers on mine. It has no vibration, but thats the only good thing I can say about it. I had to stop fishing today cuz all I could do was make right turns, if I hit left turn it would start turning and wind itself up in a knot. Only way I could stop it was to grab the shaft and pick it up. I should have let it just screw itself plum off the frigging boat. Now the LR turn won't work using the the remote. So I'm ok as long as I just turn right all the time. I am really POed. But I am trying to remain cool untill I talk to MK again. Good luck with yours.

Thanks, do you have the i-pilot? I haven't had any trouble other than vibration. It did turn on its own one time, but that was because my battery was dead.

Yes I have I-pilot. I talked to MK today and they were real concerned. Then a technition called me back. Just as he called, Fed express pulled up and delivered a new footcontrol they had sent me a few days ago. I put it on and now everything works great again. We better all hope that the control board don't go out cuz I learned today that dealers cost is $260 .WOW

rtark, I would keep that old foot control for parts. You may need them some day.

They want it back so they can find out what happened. I think I know. If you have dirt and grit on your foot it can easily fall down inside the controller and the way he explained how they work(magnets) the debri can foul things up. I turned the old controller upside down and some fell out. After that, the old controller started working fine. I have started using the buttons more and more. I am going to make a gadget that will elevate the middle(prop button) a little higher than the arrow buttons so that all you have to do is rock your foot left and right which is a lot more natural for me anyway. I am out the door now for a fishing appointment...
