    Here are a few shots from today !






    I still have the interference in the sidescan or downscan and even though I can look through it it still bugs me but I guess I'll have to live with it. As far as the 2d pics go this is more like what I have been trying to get. I am having to run the settings on manual and if I change speeds or depths I have to sometimes readjust. I have overlayed the voltage as suggested here on the forum and it still does not work. To me the units scroll speed is simply too slow. If I speed it up it blobs or pixelates the screen to much and no matter what I do i get blobs for fish instead of arches or even thin lines.

    I guess over all I pretty much find this unit lacking a LOT for the 2400 bucks that I have in it. Crappiecrazed 997 seems much more definitive and has good scroll speed and in the 2d view actually shows arches the way they are supposed to.

    Any body wanting a deal on a very gently used unit send me a IM !

    PLEASE!!! recheck the transducer for this unit. The DownScan looks like electrical interference. Take all your connections apart and add a little dielectric grease to the connectors. Ckeck that your unit has the lastest update; menu>menu>system>about. You should have aplication 2.5.31.56 and platform 56.13-1 or 56.13-3. If you have the SD down load card,,, redo it. Hopes this helps and 'IF' ??? your are serious about selling it. I have a list of takers. <*)}}}><

    I have the hds8 and lss-1. I have no screenshots to show you, but I have seen for myself, and I have seen much much more detail on my unit, than I see here. Somethings not right, as I find mine has worked great for me. I will say this. The first time I downloaded the latest updated version, something didnt take right, and I wasnt very happy, but in a matter of minutes, I just deleted that, reloaded it and its ran like a champ ever since.Also, you may make double sure your transducer is loaded. What mine was, is the HST-WSBL.

    Btw, are you running another unit on your boat? If you are running two depth finders, you need to run them at different khz. For example, the front on 200 khz, then the back on 83 khz.If you run both at the same time say both at 200 khz, you will get interference because the signals will bounce off each other. Trust me, I know this is a fact. I have talked to a Lowrance rep in person about this.

    Got a few so here goes....Bass pro shops had installed the update on this unit when I got it so I took Chatts advice and downloaded it to my puter and then to a card and reinstalled it in my unit this mornin. I then changed the transponder setting to HST-WSBL and then took off to the lake. No changes at all...still sucked. Came home and called bass pro and talked with them and they said sounded like a transponder and come on down and exchange, so I did. About 55 miles from my house....got home and hooked it up real quick and blasted back to the lake again.....absolutely no change ....again. I'm thinkin....man o man....LOL Actually thinkin a lot worse than that but can't type that here. So I called back down to BPS and they agreed to exchange the unit as soon as they get one in. I hope that is soon. I was gonna post some more pics on here but they are the same as before. After talking with a fella at Lowrance this mornin he said that I should have a bottom at 20%. If I am below 61% I loose bottom all together !!

    Any thoughts??? I really do appreciate all the help guys !!
