    Default Screen shot help

Got this off the BBC Lowrance board. <*)}}}><

The absolute best way to get the best settings and screen shots is to get a good piece of structure on your screen. When you do use your arrow key in any direction. Just punch it once and your crosshairs cursor will show up and that will freeze the picture from scrolling. Now your use your SI enhance feature and changes the settings. The settings of the picture will change but the picture will not scroll. That way once you get the best settings on a still shot and your settings will work just as well when you start the screen to scrolling again. To start the screen scrolling again hit EXIT. This will work for Side Imaging, Down Imaging and sonar. Don't forget to rotate through all the different color pallets. Some color pallets show better details on some structures than others. My personal favorites are blue and amber 1 for SI and DI. Sonar is personal preference and all show pretty much the same returns regardless of screen color.

Then, when you want to take a picture of it, and post here so we all can see the good looking structure your fishing, you do this.

    Menu / Menu
    System
    Screen Capture
    Enter

This will put the picture in your unit. You can then download to an sd card then, or after you are through and home and we can all enjoy those beautiful Lowrance structure photos.

Great info Chat. Thanks for posting. Since it's been raining here all day, I pulled my manual out for a while and spent some time learning all the features. These HD units sure have a lot of them. Waiting for a check from a client, and then I'll be ordering the lss.

I'm learning to constantly change the settings on my 1197 as the day passes...especially the Si enhance...

Different bottoms and conditions allow different settings....

That Lowrance board on BBC is hard to beat isn't it Chatt. Great help from normal guys, not all the company line stuff from sponsors. :D

GoneCrappiefishing, don't see a mention in the manual about a quick set or any such thing for getting captures, is there such a thing?

Speaking of Chatt, are you fishing the crappie busters this year? I thought they folded up a year or so ago? I may have to get over for a couple of those.

Or are you going to be at little grenada all year? Still haven't made that trip yet. Made it as far as Wolf Creek Power plant.

LOL, Sorry T Mike, but, it is as I said! mduncan62, Gave the tourneys up when it was interfering with my guiding. CB looked like it was dying but, it's looking much stronger this year. It's a VERY tough group to win. I've always said, "If you can win these,,, you are ready for the major trails"! Got another lake that is producing those picture fish,,,, Glen Elder(Waconda) Lake out in N. central KS. Produced some 16's and larger thru a 8in hole this last winter. KS board going to have a 'Camp' there the last of July. <*)}}}><

Nice. Kansas is proving to have some honey holes.

Do you have a website for your guide service?
