Not sure what card you have now.
The two card slots are so you can use a mapping card (such as a Navionics Premium Hotmap card) and be able to make screen snapshots and sonar recordings to a memory card in the other slot. We recommend using the SanDisk brand memory cards. The Extreme III memory cards are very good If you are going to be making lots of sonar recordings (these are very fast cards). The Ultra II’s are fast enough if you want to take lots of screen snapshots. If you are only going to use a memory card for updating software, waypoint management and the occasional screen snapshot than their regular speed cards will work well. Storage capacity wise; well its getting hard to find anything less than a 1 or 2GB memory card. This will be more than enough unless you are going to be making lots of sonar recordings in which case I would recommend at least a 4GB sized Extreme III memory card.

Not to discount anything Greg says...but you might check your pc and see what type of pre-installed card reader is in the pc....

If it's an older pc...it probably has the "older" SD card reader...which is a different format than the SDHC card reader....

A SD card reader will not read a SDHC card...

If you want to use the "older" pre-installed SD card reader...you should purchase the Sandisk Extreme III 2 GB card...the largest Sandisk makes in the SD format....

If you want to use the bigger SDHC cards and your pc will not read them...then you will have to , also, purchase a SDHC card reader...about $20...
