I have a 798ci. The small screen it is difficult to pick up fish against the ground. In the water coloumn you can see fish. I mostly use my sidescan to find brush or ledges channels. Mark them by cursor then GPS over to them. It is great for finding brush and structure fast. But to see more detail I think the bigger screens is what you need.

Just to find structure and wood the 798 does a great job.
