    Default Auto-pilot or I-pilot

I will be purchasing a new Terrova trolling motor in the next couple weeks...which one is more useful....can't get both...I do a little of all types of fishing.

The I- pilot has an upgraded gps auto pilot in addition to the other features. The old auto pilot is obsolete by comparison. I have a Terrova us2/i-pilot on order also.

After doing some more research...you are right Feelay...thank you...but why wouldn't they just put in the I-pilot instead of giving you options for AP or IP ? The cost is roughly the same ...

The I-pilot will take all of the work out of trolling. You can control track and speed while taking a nap if you want. Research the I-pilot and read the post on this website by people who have one. If you troll, you can't do without it. CK.

Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!

I-pilot has selectable standard compass auto pilot and advanced GPS auto pilot. Stand alone auto pilot will become obsolete IMHO.

The I pilot had to be made for crappie fishing. It is the best investment in my fishing I could have ever made. The cruize control, and auto pilot-advance, and track record definitely helps in my trolling and makes fishing more enjoyable especially in the wind. Also, I have using the spot lock while tight lining some.

Ditto ditto. I have used mine for the 2nd time today. It is a crappie fishermans dream. The wind has howled both days and I just sit there and fished a hot spot while two crappie boats beside me was fighting the wind. I made it a point to prop my feet on the side rails so they could see me relaxing. They finally had to ask me how I was doing that. I love it, so far I have nothing negative to say about it.
    It ain't nuttin but luck.
