Thread: Two sonar question

If they are using the same transducer than yes they can interfere with each other but there is no guarantee that you will see the interference. Some models will not be sensitive enough to show the interference (or small sonar returns from fish and some structure either) while others may be able to filter some of the interference out. If you have Humminbird units and update the software than do so as we are always striving to reduce sonar-to-sonar interference between Humminbird units. If you are running Huminbird units try turning up the Noise Filter menu setting or set a manual Lower Depth Range that is different than what the other unit is showing.

I've found that the eagle models that use the same transducer will get some bad interference in water deeper than 15ft. Anything shallower was no problem tho. I had the 320 on the front and 480 on the back and when i got in deeper water, i just turned off the one i wasn't using.
