    Default Portable transducer bracket

I got this idea from RNVINC and CANE POLE. I have a little john boat for small lakes and my buddy has a lake michigan boat so we can move the 997 from boat to boat. Also planning a trip to reelfoot and can use it on a rental boat.
I also made spider rigging rod holders that clamp on.

    Great job wilbur.....

Your workshop looks like mine....so many tools...not enough hours in the day...:D:D:D

    Check out this transducer shield...http://transducershieldandsaver.com/...hk=1&Itemid=56

I'll be making one of these to protect my transducer.....

To RNVINC i checked out that website it looks more like a mount than a protected shield.I just cant picture how it would protect it. I was going to leave the 1in. tubing about an inch below transducer but cane pole said it would cause turbulance.

I think the biggest possibility of breakage is going to be the plastic "ears" on the top of the transducer that the bolt goes thru...

So, my thought is to protect the transducer from any kind of pressure on these plastic "ears"...

There are also these kind of protectors if you think they may work in your application....
