How do have your transducer st up? Did you use the skimmer mount or put it on a jack plate or mount it to the transom step? I haven't installed mine yet....still trying to figure out where to put it to be sure I can get nice pics like those.

fishforfun I just mounted it on the back of the tracker boat, straight behing the drivers seat, then I sanded the boat, cleaned it with muratic acid, washed it off, marked holes drilled same then put a small skim of waterproof silicone on the area and mounted same, so far i am happy with the outcome. good luck and keep us informed.

Thanks for the info Beagleman...I'll be putting mine on once this cold weather gets out...Hopefully in a few weeks.

I don't have a jack plate and my boat is a fiberglass fish/ski-outboard motor. I'm leaning towards using the skimmer mount that came with the transducer, but am concerned about it being out there where it might get hit by something...it would have to go on the left side because behind the driver's side is my ladder.

I'd rather mount it up under the transom step, but I'm afraid I may get too much prop wash for that.

You or anyone know of any way to test it out before permanently mounting it??

I think on them fiberglass boats you can mount them on the inside of the hull, I think anyway,
