    Default 997 in two locations?

I'm sure this is covered but I can't ask the search engine the right question. Can I wire my boat where I can use my 997 at the steering wheel and then move it to the bow when I start fishing and only have the one transducer?

H-Bird makes a switch (or assembly with extra cable) just for that. Shoot Rawhide a PM. He has his done that way.

You would have to use the US2-W Unit Switch to be able to do this. You would also need a second unit mounting bracket (GM-2) unless you are using a RAM type mount, a second power cable (PC-11) and a separate GPS Receiver (GR50). Now you could get by without buying a second GPS Receiver by buying a SysLink cable (AS-SysLiink) as this allows you to connect two units to one GPS Receiver (and yet still have the faster GPS update rate).
