    Default HB/Navi map card question

I just installed new HB788ci combo & got on the water today. I inserted the map card properly but can't figure out how to get it on the screen. The book said it should pop up automatically. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I don't have to do anything it's just there, when I power up with it in the card slot.

It should not matter which slot. One is for the map and the other is for a card to record to.

Does not matter which slot you use.

There is a setting in your menu system under the "Chart" tab called ...

"NVB Chart Preference" that should be set to "Auto".....

You can also try using your map card in another Humminbird unit or their map card in your unit.

Go to the GPS Diagnostic View (it’s normally hidden by default so you may have to set it to “Visible” under the “Views” menu tab) and see if it lists anything in the memory card slot. This will be in the lower right hand corner of the View.
