    Default Hummingbird 565 Question

I have a 565 unit mounted on TM. According to some of the things I have read regarding this unit it is supposed to be able to pick up your lure below the boat. I have tried manipulating all the setting but so far I have been unable to see my jig. Any suggestions or is this just a pipe dream.

I have a 565 and i can see a 1/16th jig on mine. You probably arent getting your jig under the transducer. how deep of water are you tring to do see it in?

Usually fish 14-18 ft. deep in about 30 ft of water. What settings you have set for sensitivity, scroll speed, etc...

Maybe turn your sensitivity up. I've got a 565 and I can see my jig on it. Fish ID off, sensitivity turned up.

You will need tobe just 2 or 3 feet from your transducer. Make sure your transducer is pointed pretty well straight down. i usually run my sensitivity from 10 to 15.

Thanks. I have the sensitivity turned up but I don't think I have the fish I.D. turned off. I will give that a try next time I am on the water. May be awhile. I have to work all this week. Maybe by the time I am off next week the water levels will be down and the water will not be so muddy. All I can hope for is drier weather. Been so much rain down here since Sept. that the fishing has been spotty at best....
