Question Help ! I am torn between getting iPilot or coPilot

for my new trolling motor, I cant decide which way to go, I dont really care for the fact that the iPilot will not let you have the foot controller along with the remote, and of course the coPilot will let you. I do like the fact of the iPilot is kinda "point and shoot" tho. Im just wandering if I will be using the remote most of the time and if so that makes me think I might as well go ahead and get the iPilot. Just looking from input from some of you guys that have these and what the pro's and con's are. Thanks for all help

The i-Pilot WILL allow use of the foot control on the Terrova, but not the the PowerDrive V2

I think even the copilot disables the foot control on the V2.

I moved up from an older PowerDrive (not the V2) to the Terrova so I could have all the functions of the pedal AND use the i-Pilot... glad I did.

I have the terrova which means that I still have the foot pedal operable.. The foot pedal is currently stored. Once you get acclimated to the I-Pilot remote, there's no need to have the foot pedal in your way.

Thanks Quick, just what I kinda thought. Where do you keep you remote, I mean on the fishing road on the lanyard or belt clip

    thanks

A co-pilot add on only gives you the option of controlling the motor with the small remote. As others have mentioned before, it also limits the number of speeds the motor will run. You sometimes may find that going from #3 setting to #4 might be too much of an increase. The I pilot is a whole new ball game. It gives you auto pilot steering using a GPS signal, track following and speed control using GPS. Also the spot lock option and probably a few more things. Frankly, there's no comparison between a Co-pilot and an I-pilot.
