I bought the Terrova with Ipilot and don't use the foot control. probally should have got the PD V2 and saved money. you do want the ipilot.
Having the foot control will be nice if the remote quits but not a good reason to buy it.

Just installed mine on my V2. It took about an hour to install, no problems.
    You want to go to
    http://www.iboats.com/i-Pilot-GPS-Sy...-viewcart.long
This is where they are 351 with free shipping.
Looks like the price went up for free shipping, but the have them in stock.

That is a good price!!! been looking at em and was also wondering if you could put the old head back on it if trouble was to come up. Thanks for all the input from everyone. Sure does help when your are thinking on spending a few hundred on something new!! almost ordered the co-pilot but that would have been money down the drain!

I'm in the process of mounting 2 Handheld GPS holders on my boat (similar to the automotive cell phone holders of yesteryear). I will be putting one on the center console and one on a rod holder up front.. This will work out nicely for holding the I-Pilot remote. The one on the console will be used while guiding for hybrids. The one of front will be used while spider rigging.

Are you talking about a ram mount? I have been trying to find a cradle for my remote so that I can mount the same was as you are.

I ran the co-pilot on my old autopilot and thought it was a great addition I would not want to do without, but now that I have the I-Pilot I could not go back to the other.
