I have a new instructional piece on using the i-Pilot Track Record and Cruise Control functions for finesse jig applications. While we were targeting walleye on this trip, the similarities between our jig dragging presentation and the ways you guys target crappie are pretty obvious (at least to me!). When you're done with the article, check out the walleye jig dragging video at the end. Enjoy!

Good job on the Humminbird and Ipilot . A couple questions , do they make a 24v - 55 lb thrust in the Terrova , if not how long can you get out of the terrova ????? Do you set the sensativaty on the H umminbird 997 or just use the auto setting /
55lb motors are 12V systems. The amount of run time you'll get on a 12V model, or any model for that matter, depends on the capacity of your battery, its charge state, the average power that you run the motor on, etc etc etc. My style of fishing in winds, waves, and current, on guide trips and in tournament settings, demands, at the very least, a 24 V system. I've been running 36V for the past 2 years.
I run my SI sensitivity, contrast and sharpness right down the middle....10 on a scale of 1-20.
