    after some research I think this will be my best option to try, Any extra suggestions or things to be noted will be helpfull this will be mounted in the bilge area.

    Hmmm, looks like what we suggest sometimes. Great if you use silicone to seal the PVC pipe to the boat as its far easier to uninstall.

    I would just try placing the transducer inside-the-hull with a Ziploc bag full of sand. Pour enough water inside the hull to cover it halfway and than test the location. Far less to mess with and its adjustable too. Once you figure out the best location than dry everything, sand it down a little to remove any large rough patches (and remove any paint or old epoxy on the inside), clean it all up and install the transducer. You may want to look at using an XP-9-20-T transducer though so that you will have the water temperature coming from the outside of the hull [this transducer comes with a ten foot temperature probe cable attached to the transducer].

    Another possible option could be that indash transducer. Looks like its an older model Humminbird transducer. Are you currently using it with an indash unit? If not, can you send me a picture of what the connector looks like as we might have an adapter cable that would allow you to use it with your current 525 Humminbird unit.

    Thanks for the tips Greg I mounted the pvc pipe to the hull with silicone it holds tight and dont leek so sunday I will see if it works out for me, all and all it should tech wise. And yes I do use the indash unit also, it is a hummingbird sixity I would say made in 96 casue that is the boat year, that transducer has always been loose in the hull and worked fine with a dash of water under it so I just moved it up above my new mounting. I hope this works to what I need, i'm not thrilled about putting more holes in the hull if I dont have to. only con in this all is I loose temp readings on that depth finder but i always have the one sensor on the trolling motor.
