Default 12 volt or 24 volt

My boat has a location for two batteries and two positve wires and two negative wires. The trolling motor is a motorguide pro 50 and only has two wires going to it. Does this mean that the motor is a 12 volt?

    Thanks

Yeah, you may have or had one of the older 12/24 motors. Need to know exactly what you have now.

2 wires does not mean 12v, some 24s have only 2. As said you need to find out. Go to Motorguide web site.
