I was just on humminbirds site and they didnt show an update for down imaging. That is the 997. What did i do wrong.?

Have you signed up for an account? New firmware version is 4.750

its there, i missed it to because of the date. Look at it close and you will see the 4.75 upgrade.

I have a question...and forgive me but im challenged on this kind of stuff. I bought my 997 in 2008. I have never done any updates on it at all. It is exactly as when it came out of the box. Have there been other updates since then and if so did I have to load those updates into it for this new one to work?

Just remember to reset to factory defaults

No. the new one includes the others as well. Update and enjoy.

I went to "My Profile" (signed in) to find the down load and can't find it. Can someone help me out? What page is it on? The search does not help me.

did you register the serial # of the DF?... that's what triggers the DLlist
