This is slow time on the forum, you'll get many responses to your question. Being retired mil (MSARNG) myself, I didn't want you to think you're being ignored. I talked to a pro bass friend of mine yesterday about this same question. He said that HB is best now because Lowrance is just now comming out with it's version of SI, calling it DI. But, he also told me that he finds the Lowrance HD units have better display quality. Even after my discussion with him, I'm still planning to buy the HB1198. You will get more opinions soon.
