Nothing wrong with video out, but, you have no control of the settings of the head unit. you will have to stumble back to adjust settings. My Garmin has switchable inputs. I can look at 2 different video inputs or GPS or sonar or split combos of any two inputs. The Garmin is old, but like me it is still somewhat functional.

Main point is that the screen is BIG. I have "old eyes".

    Default Confused

You can do this with the use of two Lowrance HDS units and one Structure Scan module, LSS-1. Both units are connected by a ethernet cable and are interlinked as far as waypoints, sidescan, downscan, etc. The only downside to this configuration is that when looking at the trolling motor unit the side and downscan images are being received by the LSS-1 transducer which is usually mounted on the transom. You will still receive 2D sonar and all GPS functions from the front position. I have this system on my boat, not cheap but AWSOME.
