I am on the fence about a Hummingbird model or a lowrance, but I have a X-135 on the trolling motor it has the nema 2000 can I link up with the new lowrance gps models and if I can what will show on the 135. Here is one more question its a dumb one but I was just wondering if there is a way to link a hummingbird combo with the lowrance. Thanks

Not sure if this helps but, I have the HB 597 and LOVE IT. I also have a hand held Garmin 76 and love it. Only complaint I have about my HB(and I need to go back and read the mannual and it might solve it) is all my waypoints are stored as numbers, and I would rather name them instead of them being #'s.

Here is Lowrance nmea 2000 list. You are on the bottom.

No reasonable way to link the two units (Low and HB) yet. I am looking and waiting. I now have eye strain and butt bunions.

I dont know anything about the unit, but if you can save the waypoints to the sd card, you can edit your waypoints via pc. It is a PIA to edit via head unit.

    Are you pc savvy?
