    Default Auto pilot question


    Is the little black box (motherboard?) in the head ot the TT spose to be rattling around in there or is it spose to be attached to something....mine rattles. (Terrova)

    I don't think so! You haven't done what I have, have you? I took my lid off and there was a loose part, forget what it was. Anyhow I used to slam the top of the head to get the motor to deploy, And it broke something which holds it together inside. Once I figured out what happened, I was able to glue it back together. It's been awhile, and I'm old, so I can't remember what was loose.:o

    Anytime you hear something rattling in the head unit, it ain't good. I gotta few friends with that rattle problem.:p:p

    Naw, just got it and theres a black rectangle attached to the compass by a flat white wire that boesnt seem to be attached to anything.
    Stick yo jig in there!

    Probably just held in place with a drop of RTV.

    MINE DID THE SAME THING WHEN I FIST GOT IT. I TOOK THE HEAD OFF AND FOUND WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. IT SEEMS THAT THE COMPASS CAME LOOSE IN SHIPPING. MINE SNAPPED BACK IN PLACE
    IN THE BLACK HOLDER, HAVENT HAD A PROBLEM SINCE. IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE LOOSE. BOUNCING DOWN THE ROAD IT WILL NEVER LAST
