    Consider the customer service. This is what keeps me under the Humminbird's umbrella.

    That is a good point CP. I've always had good cust. serv. from HB. I would give them 5 out of 5 stars on that.

    Humminbird has been getting better year by year.

    Lot of Lowrance guys jumping ship I`m one myself.

    Lowrance products look nice but their quality and service has gone down hill steady in the last 5 years or so.
    Their two year warranty is mainly to help stop the bleeding in my opinion.

    Everyones awe struck by Lowrances new HDS units, They can keep them!

    I think one of the Humminbird folks explained why the 700 series wasn't getting down imagining. The computer in the unit wasn't big enough to handle the upgrade. You just can't bolt a 454 in place of a V-6 in a Chevy Blazer.

    I know a couple guys that would have that 454 in place in an hour or two.
